How Battora collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information.

Effective 25 August 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, build a creator or company profile, submit content, make a booking, subscribe to communications, contact us, or use paid features. This may include your name, email address, profile and portfolio information, contact details, content, transaction details, and communications with Battora.

We also receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure Battora, authenticate users, publish profiles and approved content, process bookings and payments, communicate with you, provide support, improve our products, measure site performance, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Advertising and analytics

Battora uses Google AdSense on selected public content pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user’s visits to Battora and other websites.

You can manage personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Battora may use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Vercel Analytics, and PostHog to understand usage and improve the service. These analytics tools are excluded from protected workspaces, staff tools, submission forms, legal pages, and entitled playback pages, and PostHog session replay is disabled.

Cookies and local storage

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, advertising, and saved drafts. Non-essential technologies are subject to your choices and applicable consent requirements. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect site features.

Service providers and sharing

We share information only as needed to operate Battora, complete transactions, comply with law, protect users, or with your direction. Providers may include Clerk for authentication, cloud hosting and storage providers, Google, Vercel and PostHog for analytics and advertising, Resend for email delivery, and payment processors such as PayFast or Stripe when those payment options are used. Public profile and approved editorial information is visible to other users and search engines.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising and analytics providers may process identifiers as described above, subject to your choices and applicable law.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, or request a portable copy. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. You can request privacy help by emailing us.

Children

Battora is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Battora and applicable requirements change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@battora.com.
