Cape Town Office

Cape Town Office (CTO) is a coworking and flexible office space based at 62 Roeland Street in Gardens, Cape Town. Founded in 2011 by Lizelle van Rhyn, CTO describes itself as Cape Town’s original coworking space and was created as a sector-agnostic place where people could work alongside others without the formality of a conventional lease. The business offers flexible memberships, dedicated desks, team space, meeting rooms, phone booths, a podcast studio and 24/7 access. Its positioning is strongly community-led: CTO says the people working alongside members matter as much as the physical workspace itself, and it maintains community rituals and regular events including Lunch Club, AI Show & Tell, Vinyl & Wine and The CTO Hang.
